Star HoldThe Hold is forming rapidly as more and more people pass reqirements and start settling here. It is located at the base of a three-topped mountain, below the Star Hall. Masters from all Halls have also come to settle here, seeing a need for their services in this fast growing area, and jumping at the chance to be in charge of their own Halls. |

Star Hall | Western ObservatoryLocated atop the tallest peak, it is only accessible by dragon or by runnerbeast up a long, and winding rocky path. This place is also called Wansor Hall in honor of that little, often overlooked genius of a man, Master Wansor. Students at Landing with high aptitudes for Astronomy move on here, after their basic schooling at Landing is done; this usually by the age of 16. MasterStarSmiths F'lessan and Tai teach here once a week, but spend most of their time with their special students at Honshu. Being tapped to join them is considered a high honor for all astronomy students. |

Ifit Weyr / Western WeyrLocated in the crater of the smallest peak, Western Weyr is unique from previous weyrs. Although it is carved out of the mountain like other weyrs, and does have its own lake, the slopes inside the crater are heavily forested with large trees that are fast becoming a favorite amongst woodworkers because of its reddish sheen and resistance to humidity and insects. |

Crescent SeaHoldA hold fully endorsed by all because of the need for ships and the convenience of them. Especially for those who can't expect dragon rides whenever they needed it. Started and overseen by Masterfisher Curran, the seahold is now fully established and running at full operation. |

Desert & Outlying AreasThe land that the hold and seahold are on, is an immense plateau at sea level. Surrounding the holdings are grove after grove of well-grubbed forest lands. However, going further west, where the plateau drops off, immediately begins the scrublands; which eventually leads into a vast desert that has yet to be fully explored. |

LandingThis important site houses the only readily accessible source into all of Pern's history. The A.I.V.A.S. computer. Now although, the entity that was AIVAS ceased to exist, the knowledge was still accessible, and thus was born Pern's first real school into advanced fields. |

Honshu Weyrhold / Southern ObservatoryMasterStarSmiths and Dragonriders, both F'lessan and Tai hold this important site to both Pern's history and the Observatory Network going up around Pern. Astronomy students vie to be chosen by the Master Dragonriders, in order to learn from the two who are known to be the best, having learned under the now highly esteemed, yet deceased Master Wansor. But living in the wild South, where even a minor scratch can kill you as well as the local predators, the students will have more to worry about than their studies. |
